
To try to help you answer any queries you have about general hire or vehicles for business use we have listed the most common questions we are asked.

• What is included in the price displayed on this website?
All prices are fully inclusive and include rental, full 24hr national breakdown cover & unlimited mileage; vehicles are supplied with a full tank of fuel and must be returned with a full tank. The price you see on the website is the price you pay. (If the vehicle is being used outside of the U.K. there will be an additional charge)
• What type of deposit do I need to pay?
We ask for just a £100 deposit ~ all we do is hold your credit/debit card details on the system we do not actually take any money out of your account, due to insurance purposes we are unable to take cash or cheque deposits
• How old do you have to be?
All drivers must be over 25 and under 75 and hold a full U.K. driving licence. We can hire to people younger than this but an extra charge may be incurred, please ring to see if you are eligible!
• What information do I need to bring when I collect the vehicle?
We ask that you bring with you your complete driving licence, if you have the new photo card driving licence this consists of the photo card and the paper part that accompanies it, if you have the old paper licence that Is fine, we also need 2 forms of ID utility bills with a current address & telephone number, the unitility bills must have been dated within the last 3 months, failure to bring sufficient ID may result in you not been allowed to rent the vehicle, if you have any questions please ring and speak to one of the rental operatives they would be more than happy to clarify everything you need.
• Can I Take the vehicle abroad?
Yes you can take our vehicles abroad as long as you let us know in advance so that we can arrange the European breakdown cover and necessary paper work.
• Are there any Mileage restrictions?
All of our rentals are unlimited mileage for any rental being used with in the U.K.
• What is the insurance excess on the vehicle?
There is an insurance excess on all of our vehicles, for standard vehicles the excess is the first £500 for all people carriers & Minibuses the excess is £1000, we do not take a deposit for this, instead we just take a imprint of your credit/debit card, in the event of an accident we may charge the card for this amount.
• What is the largest Vehicle I can drive on a Standard Licence?
If you where issued your driving licence before the 1st January 1997 you should be entitled to drive any vehicle up to 7.5 tonne in Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW), This includes all of the vehicles advertised on this site. If you were issued your licence after 1st January 1997 then you should be entitled to drive any vehicle up to 3.5 Tonne GVW, this includes Luton style vans, Unfortunately you need to have the D1 category on your licence to drive a minibus!
• What do I do in the event of an accident
In the event of an accident occurring with our vehicle, there are several things you need to do:
Get all the details of the other parties involved in the accident and any witnesses
Contact the accident help line 01482 888666
Inform the branch within 8 hrs
Complete the claim form on this website
Notify the Police if the where not present at the scene
• What Additional Services are available
Additional Drivers are charged £5 per day with anything over 7 days quoted for separately to help make the it more cost effective, additional drivers must meet all the same criteria as the main driver and must be present at the time of collection.
• Child Seats
Child seats are available at £6 per day with any rental lasting more than 4 days quoted for separately to help make it more cost effective. For safety reasons the responsibility for fitting the seat must remain solely with the driver.
• Insurance Excess reduction
You can reduce your insurance excess down to £100 for all standard vehicles and £500 for all 9 seaters & Minibuses, the cost of this is £5 per day. Beerhouse reserve the right to decline this facility.
